Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 News

Roadmap: Microsoft Teams Intelligent recap (Premium/M365 Copilot) is coming for ad-hoc meetings and calls, e.g. meet now and calls from chat from October.

Custom backgrounds for Teams Rooms on Android are now rolling out in update 1449/1.0.96.2024080804; details of how it works in docs here.

New Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, including touch boards, now support changing the display scaling settings to adjust the text size and all other UI elements on the front-of-room display. This shipped with the last update and is also in the current 5.1.28.0 (8/8/2024).

Digital signage on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows (Pro) is due in September. Integrations with selected third-party digital signage providers (Appspace, XOGO) are available as well as using web URLs as signage sources. More details in MC862235

Finally, as part of the security drive, Microsoft is enforcing multifactor authentication for all interactive sign-ins on the Azure and Microsoft 365 admin portals, but you already have that setup, right? If not, be sure to set up before October 15, 2024 MC862873.
