Empowering.Cloud was founded by industry veterans Tom Arbuthnot and James Rodd. At Empowering.Cloud, we work closely with Microsoft, eco-system partners and enterprise customers to provide unique real-world insights. This collaboration allows us to stay up to date with the latest developments in Microsoft Teams and the wider ecosystem.

Tom Arbuthnot

Tom is a Microsoft MVP and Microsoft Certified Master with extensive experience working with customers on their Microsoft unified communication and collaboration. His expertise in this area is widely recognised.

Tom has a deep understanding of Microsoft Teams and is deeply tied to the Teams community. He has strong relationships with Microsoft, customers, partners and ISVs, which give him a unique view of the market and customer requirements.

James Rodd

James is the former Co-Founder and CEO of Modality Systems, a globally recognised and award-winning Microsoft Unified Communication and Collaboration business. At Modality Systems, James led the organisation with a focus on growth and global expansion, establishing international capabilities in the US, APAC and Germany.

Under James' leadership, Modality Systems became a highly successful business, ultimately leading to its acquisition by PGI in 20-15. James continued lead Modality until the eventual divestiture away from PGI to UK PE backed GCi in 2019.
